“He spoke to me some time ago about the Ghana thing. At the time I advised him to play for England” Ferguson told Sky Sports today April 1, 2011.

He added: “I think he will probably choose England.”

Ferguson said he doesn’t see a huge problem as far as England is concerned and that the obvious attraction of English football will push the player to opt for England.

This game England-Ghana is over and some hard decisions that went into players selection. Mr.Welbeck is a British citizen by birth in Britain;he lives in Briatain and earns a living playing soccer in Britain.
Logically, playing on England’s team is pragmatic choice.Ghana has a reserve of good players team needs chemistry to execute on the field. Welbeck playing for England gives him the opportunity to improve skills that can be transferred later to Black Star team. The Black Stars must keep the momentum towards 2014 World Cup and
fulfill the dream that eluded team in South Africa.
