South Africa central bank to get new governor

South Africa’s central bank may get a new governor soon, the Bloomberg news service has reported quoting the Mail & Guardian.

According to the report, Gill Marcus, the chairwoman of Absa Group Ltd., will be named the next governor of the South Africa Reserve Bank (SARB), the report said citing unidentified people familiar with the decision.

If confirmed, Gill Marcus will be replacing Tito Mboweni, the current governor.
