Zabzugu Assembly gets GH¢1,065,000 Common Fund
The Zabzugu/Tatale District Assembly has been allocated GH¢1,065,000.00 as its share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) for the year, Mr. Umar Abdul-Wahab, the District Chief Executive, has said.
Speaking at the assembly’s meeting in Zabzugu on Thursday,
he said part of the Fund would be used in agriculture, health, water and sanitation, education and the private sector.
He said under the District Wide Assistance Programme, the district was benefiting from the construction of a clinic, a four -sea KVIP and a urinal at Sangba.
Other projects include the construction of a three-unit classroom block, an office, a KVIP and a urinal at Kampuni.
The rest are a three-unit classroom block, office, store, KVIP and a urinal at the Nure-Islamic Junior High School at Tatale and six-unit nurses’ quarters at Zabzugu.
Mr. Abdul-Wahab said under the Community Driven Initiative for Food Security Project the Sheini and Sabare communities would benefit from the construction of market stalls, while other communities would also benefit from the rearing of small ruminants and bullock traction.
He appealed to the assembly members to ensure that the contractors working on projects in their electoral areas executed their contracts efficiently.
Mr. Edward Atta Abebe Dawuni, the Presiding Member of the assembly, appealed to the assembly members to always report matters which were likely to lead to conflict to the District Security Committee for prompt action.
