Togo disqualified from Angola 2010
The Togo national team, the Hawks has been disqualified from the African Nations Cuo tournament going in Angola.
News reaching ghanabusinessnews.com from the International media says and official of CAF Yaouba Amoa told The Associated Press that the Togolese team has been disqualified from the competition.
The Togolese team pulled out of the competition following an attack on the team last Friday when it arrived in the northern Angolan enclave of Cabinda. Three members of the team were killed and others seriously injured.
Group B, based in Cabinda will now consist of three teams – Ghana, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso.
Ivory Coast plays against Burkina Faso Monday and Ghana is expected to play against Ivory Coast on Friday.
Earlier reports say two suspects have been arrested in Cabinda in connection with the attack.
