African football to receive $150m from CAF

African football will receive an amount of $150 million in television and marketing earnings over the eight years.

According to a Reuters report, this is as a result of significant increase in income for the continent’s football governing body, Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The report indicated that up to two years ago CAF received $5 million annually in payments for African Champions League rights and $5.5 million every two years for the African Nations Cup.
