Aviance Ghana gets cutting edge technology, RATT

Aviance Ghana, the leading cargo handling company in Ghana has signed a contract with Avtura Ltd., for the RATT. The Real-time Aircraft Turnaround Tool or RATT ensures efficient and effective management and co-ordination of aircraft arrival, turnaround and departure process in real-time.

The RATT utilises the latest mobile data collection technology and advanced communications devices including ruggedised Personal Digital

Assistants (PDA), WLAN and GPRS Communications. A web-based management and data analysis interface provides a clear and concise real-time view to Management, Operations Controllers, Passenger Services and Ramp personnel, Avtura has said on its website.

The Avtura RATT will electronically gather real time data at every aircraft turnaround negating the need for Flight Report Cards. According to information available to ghanabusinessnews.com, the Avtura RATT can turn this information into carrier by carrier flight statistics and will be a positive aid in keeping Aviance Ghana at the cutting edge.

The RATT also has the capability to link into the company’s accounting system, making invoicing easier and quicker.
