Ghanaian man arrested in US with heroine worth $700,000

A Ghanaian man who admitted to carrying 22 pounds of heroine worth $700,000 has been arrested at the JFK Airport in the US.

The man Charles Kwasi Kankam was carrying the drugs in his suitcase when he was arrested according to information reaching ghanabusinessnews.com.

Kakam arrived in the US on a flight from Casablanca, Morocco through Cote d’Ivoire last Saturday. He was found to be carrying the drugs when a sniffer dog picked his luggage out during a routine check. On his arrest he admitted ownership of the drugs.

Kankam, the reports said was heading to one of the richest places in New Jersey – Piscataway when he was caught.
