Ghana stocks in third successive gain
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, went up by 20.31 points from 6,366.21 points to 6,386.52 points during Wednesday’s trading on the Accra bourse. The rise was the third in succession.
The Change Year to Date was 14.61 points.
Traded volume was 713,877 shares valued at GH¢601,397.96. Of the 13 equities that sold shares, SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) led the pack with 586,700 shares valued at GH¢246,114.00.
On the broader market, there were eight price changes, five positives and three negatives.
Fan Milk Ghana Limited (FML) led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.12 to close trading at GH¢7.50; Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) went up by GH¢0.07 to close at Gh¢1.55; Unilever Ghana Limited (UNIL) appreciated by GH¢0.04 to close at GH¢3.60; Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited (SCB) also gained GH¢0.02 to end trading at GH¢42.75 while CAL Bank Limited (CAL) went up by GH¢0.01 to close trading at GH¢0.26.
Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) lost GH¢0.10 to close trading at GH¢1.20 while UT Bank Limited (UTB) lost GH¢0.02 to close at GH¢0.23 and SIC depreciated by GH¢0.01 to close trading at GH¢0.41.
Market Capitalisation was GH¢18,289.69 million from 17.48 million issued shares.
