Over 3000 building permits approved by Ga East Assembly not collected
The Ga East Municipal Assembly has approved over 3000 building permits but developers have not collected them, according to the GNA.
The report cited the Municipal Chief Executive, John Kwao Sackey as expressing worry about the situation.
He warned that all persons putting up buildings without the obligatory permits, should apply for permits to avoid any embarrassment.
Mr. Sackey said the Assembly intends to generate more funds for development projects in the Municipality. The Assembly’s Revenue Taskforce would undertake an exercise to inspect building permits of people putting up new buildings, he said.
He also called on members of the Assembly to educate land developers on proper building procedures and documentation.
