Ghana stocks open week with marginal gain
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, went up 7.3 points from 6,788.41 points last Friday to close Monday’s trading at 6,795.71 points.
The Change Year to Date is 21.95.
Traded volume closed the session at 208,385 shares valued at GH¢130,138.82. Thirteen equities old sold shares with SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) leading the pack with 72,300 of its shares valued at GH¢27,437.00.
On the broader market, there were seven price changes, four positives and three negatives. Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.03 to close at GH¢0.28 while Cal Bank Limited (CAL); Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC) and the State Insurance Company (SIC) appreciated by GH¢0.01 each to close at GH¢0.30; GH¢0.17 and GH¢0.38 in that order.
Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) and Fan Milk Limited (FML) lost GH¢0.10 each to close at GH¢1.70 and GH¢8.60 respectively while Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) lost GH¢0.02 to close at GH¢1.83.
Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢18,633.03 million from GH¢18,627.42 million issued shares.
