Star Assurance launches new logo
The National Insurance Commission (NLC) on Wednesday unveiled measures to ensure that insurance companies were adequately capitalised to meet the growing needs of the insurance market.
The Commissioner of Insurance, Madam Nyamikeh Kyiamah, who made this known, said: “The financial health of insurers is crucial for the and development of the insurance.”
Madam Kyiamah was speaking at the launch of a new logo of Star Assurance noted that the NLC was also committed to ensuring a sound regulatory and supervisory framework that maintained an efficient, safe, fair and stable insurance market.
She said the logo would distinguish the company from others in the insurance market as it answered the: “Who we are” and where we are.”
She said the logo – a white star transposed on a vibrant red star should
place the company on a new pedestal.
Mr Kofi Duffour, Managing Director of Star Assurance said the new logo was necessary due to the changing environment in the insurance market.
He said the company which was amongst the top five in the non life insurance sector with branches in all the 10 regions needed a new image due to the transformation of the human processes and the business re-engineering of the corporate entity.
Mr Duffour said the vision of the company was to become the definition of insurance while the mission aimed at giving clients optimum satisfaction.
He said the principal aim of the company was to grow the needed human capital to satisfy clients.
Mr Moses Atobrah, Marketing Manager of the company said although Star Assurance had delivered excellence in the past it was streamlining its operations to propel business in the right direction hence, the new logo.
The red colour of the logo, he said, represented the passion, energy and determination to grow and achieve goals.
He summed up the essence of the new logo as passion, empathy, partnership, creative and trustworthy.
