IFC, Swiss agency train West, East African bankers in trade finance

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Swiss agency, Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) have provided training in trade finance to West and East African bankers.

Bankers from seven countries received training to improve their trade finance operations, reduce risks and better serve small and medium businesses in the regions.

The five-day training programme in Accra from November 29 to December 3, 2010 was attended by 25 bankers from 10 banks in seven countries – Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, and Senegal.
