Ghana stocks rise on Total, PBC
The GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, continues its upward trend with a gain of 2.81 points to 993.89 points.
The Change-year-to date now stands at -0.61 per cent.
There were four price changes, equally shared between the gainers and the losers.
The advancers were Produce Buying Company (PBC), which went up GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.15 and Total Petroleum Ghana up GH¢0.93 at GH¢10.93.
The losers for the session were Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) down GH¢0.01 at GH¢2.61 and Enterprise Group Limited (EGL) shed GH¢0.01 to close GH¢0.50.
Traded volumes dropped sharply to 67,191 shares, valued at 109,137.83 cedis compared to more than 1.3 million shares worth GH¢3.03 million traded at the previous session.
Market capitalization is up marginally at GH¢20,006.11 million from GH¢19.992.08 million.
