The committee, led by Prof Sulemana Al-Hassan, helped to review some of the programmes of the University and also toured development projects in the University.
The Pro Vice Chancellor of UEW, Prof Mawutor Avoke, led the members of the committee to tour the three campuses in Winneba and inspected the multi-purpose examination hall with a seating capacity of 2,000 students at the North Campus.

The Students commended management of UEW for the rapid infrastructure development and praised them for the bold step taken to connect most of the campus hostel facilities to the internet.
The Finance Officer for UEW, Mr Benjamin Kpodo, told the committee that GETFund had contracted Alpha properties to provide security and ensure 24 hours adequate cleaning of the hostel.
Prof Mawutor Avoke after the inspection assured the team of management’s preparedness in ensuring that the mandate given to the institution was fully followed.
He said UEW was taking the required steps to address some of the challenges confronting it.
Prof Avoke said access to education should go beyond the borders of infrastructure development to include modern text books and uninterrupted access to the internet for academic work and research.
He said management of UEW in 2010 laid a fibre optic cable throughout its satellite campuses to enhance efficient and effective delivery of access to internet for research activities and academic work.
