Desailly calls for patience for Ancelotti to rebuild Chelsea
Ghanaian-born former Chelsea player Marcel Desailly thinks that Carlo Ancelotti should be given more time to rebuild Chelsea.
Desailly calls on supporters of the London-based Premiership side to be tolerant and let the former AC Milan boss reorganise the team.
“In my opinion we need to give some credit and time to Carlo so he can reorganise the team,” Desailly told Eurosport ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League knockout match against FC Copenhagen adding “He needs to get the three-man midfield back to its best, which is not easy with Frank Lampard and Michael Essien still recovering their form after long-term injuries”.
Marcel Desailly was widely expected to take the Ghana Black Stars coaching job after an impressive World Cup campaign in South Africa, but in the end it did not materialise.
