Celebrities donate money for Japan
Sandra Bullock and Charlie Sheen are among the celebrities who have announced donations in the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.
Actress Sandra Bullock and Disney star Demi Lovato have both pledged $1million of their personal earnings to the Japanese Red Cross.
Bullock’s donation matches her contribution to the Haiti relief efforts in 2010.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has pledged to donate the proceeds from her We Pray For Japan bracelets, which she designed.
The Bad Romance star has announced that she has already raised over $250,000 through selling the bands.
In a similar vein, singer Katy Perry has said that she is donating proceeds from the sale of novelty wands on her current tour.
Controversial actor Charlie Sheen has written on his website that he will donate $1 from each ticket sold to his upcoming tour, My Violent Torpedo Of Truth/Defeat Is Not An Option.
