Gold digger goes to prison for 15 years for sodomy

Ernest Dompreh, a 22-year-old gold digger, who had anal sexual intercourse with a seven-year-old school boy was on Friday sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in hard labour by the Asamankese Circuit Court.

Dompreh, who was charged with having had unnatural canal knowledge of the boy pleaded guilty.

Presenting the facts of the case, Police Detective Inspector  Stephen Atsu, said the victim, a class one pupil, lived with the mother at Akyem Osenase.

He said on February 4 at about 1530 hours, the boy, after school, was playing with friends when Dompreh called and sent him to buy him sachet water.

When the boy sent the water, Dompreh invited him into his room, smeared his sex organ with cocoa butter lotion and forcibly had sexual intercourse with him through his anus.

The prosecutor said after the act, the victim informed his playmates who were waiting for him outside of his ordeal at the hands of the Dompreh.

They quickly rushed home and informed the victim’s mother who reported the incident to the father.

The father, with the assistance of friends, arrested Dompreh and sent him to the police station.

During police interrogation, Dompreh said he initially saw the boy as a mature female but realized after the act that he was a young boy.
