Ghana up 15th position in FIFA rankings, still number one in Africa

The senior national team, the Ghana Black Stars have moved up to the 15th position on the latest FIFA rankings which was released today April 13, 2011.

Ghana was up by one place from the previous rankings which placed them at 16th.

For the third conservative time, Ghana still remains “numero un” on the African continent with 918 points followed by Ivory Coast and Egypt.

Ghana’s 3-0 win against Congo and a draw in a friendly with England is believed to have pushed them up on the rankings.

World cup winner Spain still leads the rankings followed by the Netherlands.
