Ghana Oil Company Limited holds strategic meeting on June 23
Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) on Thursday fixed its 42nd Annual General Meeting to June 23 to deliberate on strategic initiatives that should be embarked upon to re-brand the traditional oil giant in the country.
In a goodwill message to shareholders on the eve of the Easter festivities, Mr Yaw Agyemang-Duah, GOIL Managing Director, noted that the preparation for rolling-out the re-branding initiatives had progressed earnestly.
“We are optimistic that the re-branding would increase GOIL’s marketing profile on the fuel industrial growth path and position it for accelerated development on all fronts,” Mr Agyemang-Duah noted in the statement copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra.
He assured shareholders and the nation, that initiatives embarked on by GOIL management in collaboration with Board of Directors and endorsed by the shareholders were yielding positive results.
“We expect that the increased contribution to revenues would translate into profits for shareholders…the company had improved its performance from previous years,” Mr Agyemang-Duah stated.
He said GOIL would continue to uphold its philosophy to continuously improve and provide varieties in terms of its products and service delivery through product differentiation.
Mr Agyemang-Duah said “Our experienced technical team is the brain behind the innovations. They are able to take advantage of global research findings to create products of quality to our customers.”
GOIL Services include operations in the aviation field, bunkering, mining sectors, bitumen and Lube Bay among other innovative services.
The GOIL Managing Director noted: “As the period of Easter approaches, I wish on behalf of the Board, Management and staff of GOIL to keep in touch with you and to relieve with you the sorrow and death of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
“May the joy of Jesus Christ’s resurrection and ascension to heaven bring good tidings to us all in the years ahead,” he added.
