Assembly-members asked to cooperate with their chief executives
Madam Ama Benyiwa-Doe, Central Regional Minister on Friday called on assembly members to rally behind their district chief executives (DCEs) to facilitate the developments of their areas.
She said it was only when there was peace and unity among the assembly members and DCEs that development could take place.
Madam Benyiwa-Doe made the call when she swore into office Mr Martin Luther Obeng, District Chief Executive for Agona East at Agona Nsaba on behalf of the President.
She appealed to the assembly members to be punctual at meetings and come out with fruitful and constructive ideas toward the development of their areas.

She asked them to educate the people on the need to honour their tax obligation to support the common fund and urged the technocrats of the assembly to offer meaningful technical advice towards the growth of the district.
Mr Luther Obeng thanked the Government and promised to work in collaboration with the chiefs and assembly members towards the success of the Better Ghana Agenda.
Mr Samuel Richard Ziggah, Presiding Member of the Assembly, pledged that by the end of their stewardship, the people would see fiscal development in the district.
