MCE appeals to Heads of MDAs to attend meetings

Mr Alex Kofi Kyeremeh, Techiman Municipal Chief executive, has appealed to heads of departments and agencies in the municipality to desist from absenting themselves from quarterly meetings scheduled by the Assembly or face sanctions.

He was addressing more than 40 heads of departments and agencies at a meeting to review the Functional Organizational Assessment Tool (FOAT) in the municipality.

He said as technocrats the heads were expected to avail themselves at the quarterly meetings to provide technical advice to the Assembly.

Mr Kyeremeh deplored the attitude of some of the heads who only attended general assembly sessions but failed to be present at the quarterly meetings and advised such heads to turn a new leaf.

He commended some of the heads for providing technical inputs that enabled the Assembly to score 96 per cent in the assessment of the FOAT programme.

Alhaji Hafiz Adam, the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, appealed to the heads to collaborate with the Assembly to provide the needed public service and development.

He told them to work within the confines of the new local government system to enable them to meet the objectives of the country’s development agenda.
