Telecoms conference for West Africa takes off in Dakar

One of the major telecoms events in the West African sub-region is taking off today Wednesday June 15, 2011 in the Senegalese capital Dakar.

The conference known as West & Central Africa Com has the theme ‘Evolving Networks and Services to Capture the Region’s Growth Potential’ is being organised by Informa Telecom & Media Ltd., of the UK.

The two-day conference scheduled to end on Thursday June 16, has Ahmad Farouk of MTN West and Central Africa, Bernard Ghillebaert of the Orange Group, Samson Isa of Globacom and Isabelle Gross of Balancing Act among others.

The conference is being attended by 521 delegates and has 186 companies participating from around the world.
