Greater Accra District Sports Festival fixed for June 24

The Greater Accra branch of the National Sports Authority (NSA) will from Friday, June 24 to June 26, organize the Greater Accra Inter-Districts Sports Festival at Dedzokuku Krowor in the Teshie – Nungua, Accra.

Nine out of ten districts are expected to participate in Athletics, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Table Tennis and Football for Under-15 players.

The event is aimed at selecting the best sports men and women to represent the Region at the impending National Unity Games to be held from July 17-27, at the University of Ghana, Legon.

The event, according to Mr Saka Acquaye, Greater Accra Regional Sports Director, will be officially opened by Nii Armah Ashietey, Greater Accra Regional Minister with support from Nii Nortey Dua, Member of Parliament for Krowor Constituency and Worlanyo Agra, Director General of NSA.
