Soldiers must remain professional– Brigadier-Gen. Adams
Brigadier General S.M. Adams, Military Secretary, General Headquarters of Ghana Armed Forces, has urged soldiers to remain professionals in the discharge of their duties.
He advised them against engaging in illegal activities such as landguards operations and debt collection.
Brigadier General Adams made the call when reviewing the passing-out parade of 401 recruits at the Army Recruits Training Centre at Shai Hills in the Greater Accra Region.
“Unless you are under clear orders from superior authority, you have no business doing settlement of personal disputes without course to the due process of the law,” he stressed.
Brigadier General Adams advised the young soldiers to bear true and faithful allegiance to Ghana and protect her constitution.
Lieutenant Colonel William Agyapong, Commanding Officer of the Training Centre administered the oath of allegiance to the recruits.
Mr Agbeli Wilson Malike, emerged the overall best recruit and received GH¢500 for his prize.
