Ankara SC qualifies for Zonal Middle League in Sekondi-Takoradi

Sekondi-Takoradi based Division Two side Ankara SC has qualified to play in the Zonal League after securing the top spot in Zone 1A.
Ankara SC, which is co-owned by ex-Ghana internationals Augustine Ahinful and Stephen Baidoo, edged Fijai Real United 27 points to 26 points in a very close contest.

The former internationals formed the club five years ago and first played in the juvenile league before moving to division three, some three seasons ago.

Meanwhile, club co-owner Augustine Ahinful says the club plans to qualify to play in division one football next season saying “definitely, we plan to play in division one”.

Ahinful also added that it is the aim of the club to help young players in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis by impacting onto them, what he has learned abroad in order to help build their future.
