Ghanaian student Christopher Siaw officially receives top UK marketing award
Christopher Agyapong Siaw, a Commonwealth Scholarship student from Ghana, has been officially presented with the prestigious 2011 Marketing Prize of the Academy of Marketing in the United Kingdom.
He was announced winner of the prize early June this year.
Christopher, who is currently undertaking a Master of Science (MSc) Marketing course at the Glamorgan Business School, was given the award also known as “Professor Malcolm McDonald Student Essay Prize”, during the Academy of Marketing Annual Conference Gala Dinner in Liverpool’s St George’s Hall, university authorities said in a statement on July 15, 2011.
According to the Academy of Marketing, Christopher’s essay was selected after a blind review process, with the top three shortlisted papers being passed to Professor McDonald for the final decision.
He won the award with an essay he wrote entitled: “Real value is defined by the customer, not the supplier.”
