Cocoa farmers appeal to government to fix their road
The people of Kwabenakrom, a major cocoa producing community in Dormaa Municipality, have appealed to the government to assist them in repairing the only road that links them to the outside world.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Kwabenakrakrom, a spokesman for the farmers, Mr. Augustine Taal, said the heavy rains had rendered the road impassable and cash and food crops are locked up on farms.
He said the deplorable state of the road had come at a time large quantities of cocoa, cash and food crops were in abundance in the area.
Mr. Taal appealed to the Assembly to, as a matter of urgency, to expedite work on the road to link the community to Kwakuanya, the nearest community.
