GNAT President promoted as Director of GES
Mr Paul Asamanaba Apanga, National President of Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), has been promoted to the Grade of Director One (1) in the Ghana Education Service (GES).
A statement signed by Mr Peter Korda, Public Relations Officer of GNAT, in Accra on Friday, said the promotion followed Mr Apanga’s success at the GES Council interview last year.
It said by this promotion, he had been elevated from the position of a District Director at Zebilla to that of Upper East Regional Director of Education in Bolgatanga.
The statement said as a result of the elevation of Mr Apanga to the position of a Regional Director of Education, he has resigned as the National President of GNAT to avoid conflict of interest.
“While wishing Mr Apanga well in his new position, we hope that he will continue to place his rich experience at the disposal of the Association as we continue to collaborate with GES to explore innovative ways of improving the service conditions of our members,” it added.
The National Council and entire members of GNAT congratulated Mr Apanga on his elevation.
