Church to build GH¢600,000 model school in Ho
Ho Central Assemblies of God Church is to construct a four-storey 25-unit classroom block for its basic school, Assemblies of God International School (EVAGIS) in Ho.
The project worth GH¢600,000 cedis is to be funded by the Church and completed in 2015.
Reverend Joseph Senyo-Pongo, Resident Pastor of the Church, said at a groundbreaking ceremony that the initiative was to establish an international model school to help raise academic performance in the Municipal area.
“We noted that our academic level and morals are falling hence this initiative. So we will give priority to building the total person- his academics, physical and morals”, he said.
Reverend Senyo-Pongo said the School would introduce three foreign languages including Chinese and German to make its students marketable and of world class.
He assured that the ground floor of the building would be ready for use in three months and urged the public to take advantage of the facility.
Hundreds of church members, who thronged the project grounds, sang praises to celebrate the birth of the project.
The Church already has a crèche on her premises.
