Abraham, who went to the premises of AFS to apply for instant loan, provided pay slips for three months and a driver’s License number AC436489 as basic requirements.

Caesar Mensah, Loan Administrator of AFS told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Wednesday that upon examining the documents, it was noted that the pay slips from the Controller and Accountant General’s Department were genuine but added that Abraham was not the owner of the slips.

In addition, he noted that Abraham forged the driver’s License with the name “Lincoln Abraham” to match up with the name on the slip to enable him qualify for the loan.

According to Mensah, he confirmed the suspicion that Abraham was not the owner of the pay slips after further interrogations.

He said Abraham, who came to the premises of the company together with two others – Enock Kodjo and Emmanuel K. Buer also seeking loans of GH¢1,300 and GH¢2,700 respectively, managed to escape.

Mensah said the culprit had been handed over to the Adabraka Police for further investigations.

Mensah said both Kodjo and Buer presented pay slips and fake driver’s license for the loan and were not the original owners of the pay slips.
