President Mills appoints Alhaji Seidu Iddi as CEO of SADA
President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Alhaji Gilbert Seidu Iddi as the Chief Executive Officer of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA).
Acting in accordance with Article 195 of the 1992 Constitution, President Mills made the appointment in consultation with the SADA Governing Board and the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
A statement issued in Accra on Tuesday and by Mr J.K Bebaako-Mensah, Secretary to the President, said Alhaji Iddi is a highly experienced agricultural extension expert with more than 35 years in active professional career.
It said for more than 15 years, Alhaji Iddi served in various senior management positions of international development agencies including successfully managing an agricultural extension programme, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
The statement noted that, he has played several leading roles in governance, including been a one time the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and Regional Minister.
“He assumes his position on October 1, 2011 with a wide depth of knowledge, expertise and professional contacts in the development of the SADA zone,” the statement said.
Alhaji Iddi was a lecturer at the University of Development Studies.
