Ghana has indeed lost a great man. I had personal encounter with him when I wanted him to edit a script I had written. Meeting me for the first time, the honorable man promised: “I shall do everything possible to help you just as I was also helped to get to where I am today.” I shall never forget the words of this great man.

His soul rest in perfect peace.

Efo was a kind warm hearted gentleman. I had the pleasure of working with him as director of a play we commissioned him to write for Brekete dance ensemble in 1995. We had a great plan to work together and connect uk artists to summer schools at the national theatre we only discussed this year in April… What a great man – a pan africanist, a scholar and a true artist you will be sorely missed by us all. May your soul and spirit continue to inspire the young and rest in perfect peace.. Bless Paul anderson (London)
