We need more police personnel – Assemblyman

Mr Paul Akyeremu, Assemblyman for Agona Otsenkorang Electoral Area, has appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to post more men to the Police Station in the town.

He said currently there is only one Policeman handling the affairs of the station, a situation he described as a great worry to the chiefs and the people of the area.

Mr Akyeremu said this at the Second Ordinary Session of the Agona West Municipal Assembly at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

Mr Akyeremu said he was also unhappy that the policeman had to commute daily from Agona Nyakrom to Otsenkorang whiles there was accommodation in the town for him.

He said last year the station had three Police Personnel and two were transferred but since then they have not been replaced.
