Abandoned vehicles at Police stations to be auctioned
The Greater Accra Regional Police Command would soon auction abandoned motor bikes and vehicles parked at the Police Stations in the region, a release copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday said.
The exercise is to decongest the police stations of several abandoned vehicles, the release signed by Mr Cyprian Zenge, Assistant Superintendent at the Public Affairs Unit of the Accra Regional Police Service, said.
“As a result of this, the command wishes to announce to the general public, especially those who have their vehicles and motor bikes at the various Police Stations to take the necessary steps to repossess them as soon as possible,” it said.
The release concluded that any vehicle or motor bike which is not repossessed within 21 days after the publication would be sold off at a public auction.
