Common Fund secretariat supplies equipment to institutions
Mr Alfred Kwame Agbesi, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashaiman, in conjunction with the Common Fund Secretariat on Thursday donated equipment worth 50,000 Ghana Cedis, to 18 organisations and institutions within the Municipality to assist them in their work.
The items included 35 computers, two motor bikes, and 10 television sets. Institutions and organisations that benefited from the donation included the Ghana Education Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ministry of Health, NADMO and the Ga-Dangme Council.
Others were the NYEP, NCCE, Non-Formal Education, Muslim Council of Elders, Council of Ewe Traditional Elders, Ashaiman Traditional Council and the GPRTU.
The rest were the offices of the NDC and NPP, the JHS Cluster of Schools and the Primary Cluster of Schools all in Ashaiman.
Presenting the items, Mr Agbesi urged the beneficiaries to put them to good use.
Mrs Florence Quaye, Ashaiman Municipal Director of Education received the items on behalf of the organisations, and thanked the Common Fund Secretariat and the MP for the gesture.
Mrs Quaye expressed the hope that the computers would help facilitate effective teaching and learning in schools within the Municipality.
