Ghana moves four places in FIFA ranking
Ghana moved four places up in the latest monthly rankings released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).
The Black Stars moved from 33 to 29 on the globe ladder to emerge as the second best on the continent behind the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
Ghana amassed 761 points to chalk the progress after beating Gabon 2-1 in the recent international friendly after their abortive date with Sierra Leone earlier in the month.
Algeria moved a point within Ghana’s position to place third in Africa while African Champions, Egypt dropped to fourth on the continent’s rating.
The Black Stars and the Elephants are rated as favorites for next year’s African Cup of Nations billed for Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
