Africa Oil Services Ghana secures VAM and Grant Prideco Certification
David Lekan Somorin, Executive Director Sales for Africa Oilfield Services Ghana Ltd (AOS) has said the company has been appointed as the sole in-country VAM and Grant Prideco licenses to provide services to oil companies operating in the country.
“It gives the company’s clients the guarantee that they are dealing with a good and qualified company, which is in position to meet their demands,” he said.
AOS launched its state of the art machine shop in Takoradi in April and the qualification provided it the international recognition to meet the demands of clients.
The facility which is furnished with the latest CNC lathes & milling machines are internationally recognised and accepted to meet the demands of clients operating within the Ghanaian Oil & Gas Industry.
AOS operates a joint venture and partnership with international manufacturers of oilfield equipment, which has made it possible to extend its portfolio and scope.
AOS is a leading oilfield services company with a track record of providing multiple product lines to the industry, and has provided value added technical service solutions to clients in Nigeria and the West African market since 1985.
Mr Ato Panford, President of the Western and Central Regional Association of Ghana Industries, commended AOS Ghana for its significant investment in the Ghanaian Oil Industry and said the association would offer it the necessary support to succeed.
Mr Isaac Saforo, Country Manager of AOS Ghana, said the machine shop would meet the needs of oil operators in the field and reduce the long procedure they would have to go through to get good services for their machinery.
He said the company would expand to Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, Angola and South Africa to make the corporate entity a global brand adding that the machine shop is equipped with a wide variety of high quality machines, designed for the oil field and engineering industry.
He said the collection of machines such as the latest CNC lathes and milling machines are designed to meet internationally recognised and accepted standards and to meet client demands.
