KNUST receives GH¢20,000 to conduct research activities

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has received separate donations totaling GH¢20,000.00 in support of its research activities.

The College of Architecture and Planning was presented with a cheque for GH¢10,000.00 by the Managing Director of the Koforidua-based construction company, Antarctic Construction Works.

Mr Kwasi Okyere wants the money to specifically go into research in the areas of quantity surveying, planning and construction.

He said this was his contribution towards education development and pledged continued assistance.

Professor Edward Badu, Provost of the College, said they were grateful for the donation and to others to also assist.

The HFC Bank was the other donor and also made available GH¢10,000.00 to the university to aid research and book publishing.

Mr Asare Akuffo, Managing Director of the Bank, spoke of their determination to serve as a reliable partner in the training of manpower for the development of the nation’s economy.
