DCE cautions against shoddy wiring of houses
Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive, has advised landlords and landladies to engage qualified and competent electricians to extend electricity to their buildings to avoid fire outbreak as a result of shoddy work.
He cautioned residents in farming settlements to be wary of how they handled naked fire during the harmattan season.
Mr. Agyekum was addressing separate meetings with residents of Grumakrom and Salamkrom at which he inaugurated electricity power projects in the two communities.
He said other communities in the municipality including Beboano, Nyamebekyere and Nkyinkanmu would soon benefit from the rural electrification project.
The MCE expressed concern about domestic fire disasters in the communities, which he attributed to shoddy electricity power installations by electricians.
Mr. Jones Konlam, chairman of the unit committee at Grumakrom expressed gratitude to the MCE for the extension of electricity power to their area and appealed that the local primary school should benefit to enhance teaching and learning.
