The Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has been appointed onto FIFA’s Organising Committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments, the FA said on its website January 3, 2012.
According to the FA, Mr Nyantakyi joins the 18-member body which is chaired by Zhang Jilong of China.
The Organising Committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments organises the Olympic Football Tournaments in compliance with the provisions of the regulations applicable to these tournaments and the Olympic Charter.
He is one of three Ghanaians – Anthony Baffoe and Adjoa Bayor who are serving on FIFA’s Standing Committees.
