Alfred Agbesi Woyome arrested over GH¢51m judgement debt payment saga
Information reaching ghanabusinessnews.com says Mr. Afred Agbesi Woyome has been arrested.
The businessman who is embroiled in a GH¢51 million judgement debt payment saga in connection with the 2008 African Cup of Nations, is reported to have been arrested on his way to his office this morning February 3, 2012 and is being held in detention at the Police Headquarters in Accra.
However, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police, DSP Cephas Arthur, told ghanabusinessnews.com on the phone at the time of filing this story that he is unable to confirm the arrest.
The arrest is said to follow yesterday’s submission of the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO)’s report on the matter to President John Atta Mills.
