British High Commission in Accra says access to visa section strictly by invitation
The Visa Section of the British High Commission in Accra on Thursday announced that with effect from Monday, February 6, 2012, public access to the Visa Section would be strictly by invitation.
“Any customer who wants to come to the Visa Section in relation to visa enquires must be issued an appointment letter either by the Visa Section or its Commercial Partner, VFS in Labone,” a statement issued in Accra, said.
It said the enquiry desk would however continue taking phone calls and could be reached on 0302-213200/250.
The statement reminded customers that applications for non-settlement visas should be submitted at least 15 working days in advance of intended travel.
The arrangements for submitting applications remain unchanged; customers are further reminded that all supporting documentation that they wish to accompany their visa application should be submitted when their application is lodged.
Access arrangements should they be required, for protocol purposes, remain unchanged.
Information on the visa process, the documents required and the current visa fees are available on the VFS or UKBA website: http://vfs-uk-gh.com/www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas.
