Ghana Oil Company appoints Chris Ackummey as new Acting Managing Director
The Board of Governors of Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), has appointed Mr Chris A. Ackummey as the new Acting Managing Director until the formal appointment of a substantive head.
Mr Ackummey, who is a Board member of GOIL, takes over from Mr Kojo Bonsu another Board member, who acted from August 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012, according to a statement issued by Management of the company, to Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday.
It said the Board had initiated the process for the appointment of a substantive Managing Director for the company and in due course the person appointed would take office.
“It is to be noted that these are normal administrative measures,” the statement noted.
Mr Yaw Agyemang-Duah, former Managing Director of GOIL retired on July 31, 2011.
