293 persons in Bolgatanga to benefit from LEAP

Two hundred and ninety-three people from four communities in the Bolgatanga Municipality have been selected to benefit from the Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty (LEAP).

The communities are Dachio, Dubila, Sumbrungu Aguusi, and Kulbia.

Mr Yakuba Alhassan, Municipal Coordinating Director, said these at a meeting with a nine-member implementing committee of LEAP in Bolgatanga.

He appealed to members of the committee to ensure that funds provided for the programme reached the beneficiaries.

Mr Alhassan asked them to ensure that the beneficiaries use their money judiciously, particularly on education, health insurance and investments that would help improve their lives.

He advised them to monitor the impact of the LEAP in the selected communities so that it could be replicated in other needy areas.
