Nominations for 2012-2015 King Baudouin African Development Prize opens
The King Baudouin Foundation has opened nominations for the King Baudouin African Development Prize.
The award seeks to reward individuals or organisations who are making outstanding contribution to development in Africa through initiatives that standout as the best practice in their field, improving the quality of life of the population they serve, and empowering local communities to take development into their own hands.
This was contained in a statement issued in Accra on Monday by Mr Elvis Adanyina, Acting Director of the Information Services Department.
The award will take place in the spring of 2013 at the Royal Palace in Brussels and the deserving individual or organisation would receive a financial prize of 150,000 Euros.
The deadline for the receiving of nominations is February 15, 2012 and candidates can be nominated electronically via the website: www.kbprize.org.
