Kwesi Nyantakyi in Tunisia for CAF Super Cup
President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi has left for Tunis, Tunisia to attend the CAF Super Cup event scheduled for Saturday, February 25 in the Tunisian city of Rades.
Information gathered by GNA Sports has it that the GFA Boss, who doubles as a member of the CAF Executive Committee left Accra on Thursday for the match that pits together the winner of the CAF Champions League, Esperance against that of the CAF Confederation Cup, Maghreb Association Sportive de Fes.
Nyantakyi has been invited alongside other members of the CAF Executive Committee to grace the one-off match.
He is expected to return during the weekend before the Stars enplane for the United States of America for the friendly encounter against Chile on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
The CAF Super Cup is the continental version of the UEFA Super Cup and officially heralds the new season for continental club football.
Accra Hearts of Oak is the only Ghanaian Club to have annexed the title after beating Zamalek of Egypt 2-0 in 2001 at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.
