Kotoko maintains lead on Ghana Premier League

Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko scored 2-0 victory over Wa All Stars to maintain their lead in the 19th Glo Premier League match played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi on Sunday.

Kotoko who showed their determination to carry the day took over the acts of the visitors and mounted pressure on them to score the first goal in the 17th minute through Ben Acheampong who dribbled goalkeeper Robert Dabuo to hit the net.

Prince Baffour, made it two for Kotoko in the 53th minute to secure their victory, before the visitors in an effort came close to reducing the score but a shot from Tijani Joshua was blocked by keeper Soulama Abdoulayie to send the ball to safety.
