Bosomtwe Assembly spends GH¢614,509 on projects

The Bosomtwe District Assembly has spent GH¢614,509.00 on the development of education and health infrastructure in the area.

This involved the construction of classrooms, information communication technology (ICT) centres, nurses’ accommodation, washrooms and community health planning and services (CHIPS) compounds.

Mr Edward Nti-Berko, the District Chief Executive,  said the beneficiary communities include Adagya, Pramso, Feyiase, Toamfo, Anyinatiase, Kuntanse, Beposo and Esreso.

He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that many of the projects were ready and the others almost completed.

All of these were started within the last three years and the funding came through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) and the District Development Fund (DDF).

Mr Nti-Berko said the assembly was determined to bring improvement to the quality of life of the people but this would depend on the strength of its finances and appealed to the people to regularly pay their taxes and rates to the assembly.
