District Assembly Common Fund deductions affecting development in Tamale – Mayor

Alhaji Abudulai Haruna Friday, Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale, on Tuesday complained that deductions from the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), was affecting the implementation of projects in the area.

He called on Government to reduce deductions being made from the Fund, to ensure the completion of development projects in the metropolis.

Alhaji Friday made the call at the general sitting of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly in Tamale, at which assembly members took stock the assembly’s performance in 2011, and planned for this year.

He called on revenue authorities to initiate measures to improve revenue collection in the metropolis.
