President Mills undertakes biometric voters’ registration
President John Evans Atta Mills, on Thursday underwent the voters’ registration exercise to empower him to exercise his franchise, and vote in Ghana’s 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections.
He was registered at the Regimanuel Gray Estates off the Spintex Road within the Ledzokuku Constituency, in the Greater Accra Region.
The President went through the registration process in about 15 minutes and was given his biometric card.
In a short statement after the registration, President Mills reiterated Government’s determination to make the elections free, fair and transparent, and to ensure peace during before and after the elections.
President Mills called on Ghanaians to register massively to be able to take part in the elections.
